NYC-3 Dining Room in 1928
The NYC-3 luxury private rail car was built for the exclusive use of Harold Vanderbilt, the last of the Vanderbilt's to "run" the New York Central Railroad.
Pictured above is the original 1928 dining room of the NYC-3 private rail car complete with a wood burning fireplace. The NYC-3 private rail car was the pinnacle of luxury then, and continues to serves as a prestigious luxury travel adventure today.

President Obama's Whistle Stop Private Train Car Tour Video
Private rail cars have an intimate history of being the platform for which aspiring presidents lay down their platform. Whistle stop tours offer the president quick and easy access to many towns bringing them in close contact to the people with the ability to quickly get rolling down the track to the next stop.
